Which utilities are included? What is the average cost of utilities?

While no utilities are included, all of our fabulous amenities are FREE for our residents. Our staff is happy to provide you with 12 month averages on whatever type of apartment home you are interested in.

Is there a fee to pay using my credit card?

While there is not a fee for paying with a debit card or your checking information, we do charge a 2.95% fee if the rent is paid using a credit card.

What shopping is nearby?

Morton offers a variety of retail shops as well as numerous specialty shops and professional service businesses. Dining options include locally owned restaurants and well known chains. There is an abundance of all types of shopping in nearby East Peoria / Peoria Il. Morton is also conveniently located to all major highways for an easy trip to Chicago or Saint Louis!

Is there school bus pick-up on the property?

Award-winning Morton schools offer bus service for all Cape Cod Village residents with on-site pick up and drop off.

How are my packages handled? Will the office hold?

UPS and FedEx will typically leave packages at your apartment door, but if the driver deems it necessary or you have made a specific request, they will bring your packages to our office for safe keeping until you are able to pick them up. The USPS will leave packages at your apartment or will return them to the local Postal Office for you to pick up.

Is there a mailbox on the property for outgoing mail?

Most definitely…with daily pick up Monday through Saturday.

How do a set up to pay my rent on line?

Setting up online rent payments is simple! Our office will supply you with easy instructions along with a temporary Username and Password to help get you started.

Who do I call if the washer/dryer is not working or takes my money?

Contact information is noted in all building laundry rooms, or you may contact the office and we will notify Coinmach for you!

Can I swim boat or fish in the lake?

Current residents are welcome to “bank fish” but there are no water activities allowed in/on the lake.

Where is the library?

Here at Cape Cod Village, we have our very own DVD library for residents located in our office, as well as a small number of books available to read and share with others. Morton has an extraordinary Public Library with something for everyone…tax forms, notary public, job search resources, interlibrary loans and numerous programs for adults and kids.

What hours are the clubhouse and office open? Is there a drop box if I can’t make it there during those hours?

Residents of Cape Cod Village have 24 access to our Resident Clubhouse via their electronic apartment key. Our office is open 9 – 6 Monday – Friday with spring, summer and fall Saturday hours of 10 -4. There is a drop box near our Clubhouse entrance for after hour drop offs.

How do a turn in a non-emergency service request?

Service requests may be submitted online using our website, in person, or by contacting our office.

What do I do in case of an emergency?

All new residents are provided with our 24 hour hotline number for true emergencies.
